Process Development Team Leader - Downstream

Location: Liverpool, UK

Job Ref: EBD116

Job Purpose:  The Process Development Team Leader for Downstream will be responsible for and required to develop, optimise and scale-up purification strategies for the production of a wide range of biopharmaceuticals including but not limited to proteins, DNA and viruses. There will also be a requirement to scale-up/down and for the technology transfer of processes either internally to Eden’s manufacturing group or externally, to and from third parties.

Microbiology Manager

Location: Liverpool, UK

Job Purpose:  As Microbiology Manager you are responsible for managing the transfer, application, qualification and validation of microbiological methodologies for, in-process and QC batch release and stability testing of a wide range of potential biopharmaceutical products.

Site Engineer – Control & Instrumentation

Location: Liverpool, UK

Job Ref: EBD126

Job Purpose:  Engineers will be required to embrace multi-skilling and perform all assigned activities in accordance with regulatory requirements and company engineering, safety and quality systems.  This particular role will also require the Engineer to be fully conversant with Instrument and process control equipment installation, maintenance, calibration and fault finding. Ideally, the engineer will also be conversant with maintenance and fault diagnosis (including software interrogation & management) of DCS, PLC and SCADA systems.

cGMP Downstream Production Operator (2 vacancies)

Location: Liverpool, UK

Job Ref: EBD131 & EBD132

Job Purpose:  cGMP Downstream Production Operator will perform a wide range of activities associated with the Downstream manufacture of cGMP biopharmaceutical Investigational Medicinal Products (IMPs) for clients within the Production Facility at Eden Biodesign.  There is also a requirement to ensure all work is in accordance with regulatory requirements and Eden Biodesign’s Quality and HSE Policies and Procedures.

Environmental, Health and Safety Manager

Location: Liverpool, UK

Job Ref: EBD134

Job Purpose:  Reporting to the Chief Scientific Officer with responsibility for driving Health & Safety best practice in the organisation.  The EH&S Manager will be required to act as the ‘competent person’, as required by the Management of Health & Safety at Work Regulations, to ensure all of Eden’s health, safety and environmental obligations are met.  The EH&S Manager is also responsible for developing the companies EHS strategy and policies, maintaining the EHS management system and working with line managers to promote an excellent health and safety culture within the organisation. Other duties include assessment and arrangement of training, day to day implementation and monitoring of policies and systems, accident and incident investigation and providing EHS advice.

QC Microbiology Scientist

Location: Liverpool, UK

Job Ref: EBD136

Job Purpose:  The Quality Control Microbiology Scientist will be required to perform Quality Control Microbiological tests necessary to support all aspects of the facility and manufacturing operations.  There is also a requirement to ensure that the quality of all work undertaken in the QC Microbiology Department and the ensuing data is of an acceptable quality to meet the required regulatory requirements.

Warehouse Operator

Location: Liverpool, UK

Job Ref: EBD138

Job Purpose:  The Warehouse Operator is responsible for receipt of materials into Eden Biodesign, ensuring all materials are correctly stored and located within the Warehouse and issuing raw materials and consumables for the Production group.  Activities also include administration of the stock control system, reconciliation of deliveries to purchase orders and ordering routine consumables and gas cylinders when required.   The Warehouse Operator is required to perform all assigned activities in accordance with regulatory requirements and also Eden Biodesign’s Quality and HSE Policies and Procedures.
